Preserving voices. Honoring experiences. Sharing hope.
Speaker Tape Collection began with a simple mission: To archive and share the powerful voices of recovery. From convention halls to speaker jams, we capture the heart of recovery gatherings - raw, real, and resonant.
Our mission is simple but vital: To help make the recovery message available to all. We believe that the experiences heard in this archive have the power to heal, inspire, and transform lives. That’s why we’ve spent countless hours traveling to events, setting up recording equipment, and capturing the raw, unfiltered experience, strength, and hope shared from behind the podium.
Backed by decades of service.
Built for today.
Speaker Tape Collection is a new digital channel created to share an archive that’s been lovingly built over decades. While our site is new, the heart behind it isn’t. Between the four of us, we’ve spent years traveling to recovery events, capturing speaker meetings, and preserving the voices of members with care and purpose.
This platform is our way of making those recordings more accessible - organized, searchable, and available to anyone who needs to hear the message. It’s a continuation of service, rooted in gratitude and built for connection.
Our History
Speaker Tape Collection began as a passion project born out of gratitude for the gift of recovery. What started with a single recorder and a willingness to serve has grown into one of the most respected and reliable sources of speaker recordings in the fellowship. Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with regional conventions, trusted servants, and event organizers, earning a reputation for professionalism, consistency, and integrity.
We've recorded hundreds of speakers - some well-known, others sharing publicly for the first time. Whether you're revisiting a favorite speaker or discovering a new voice, our collection is here to connect, inspire, and remind us that we’re never alone.
Our Approach
At SpeakerTapeCollection.com, we understand the spiritual responsibility that comes with recording recovery events. We honor the Twelve Traditions, especially the principles of anonymity and self-support, in everything we do. We are committed to sharing these recordings in a way that supports, not commercializes, the message of recovery.
We take pride in the quality of our work - using professional equipment, ensuring clear sound, and properly labeling and archiving each recording for easy access and historical preservation. We also take great care to respect each speaker's anonymity and the integrity of each event.
Why Recordings Matter
In recovery, we know that "we can only keep what we have by giving it away." Speaker recordings are a vital tool in giving away the message. For members who are isolated, incarcerated, or unable to attend meetings, these recordings offer a lifeline - a chance to hear someone who’s been there and made it through.
We've also benefitted from tapes, CDs, and digital media recordings personally. One of the founding members of SpeakerTapeCollection.com shared, "I can't imagine early recovery without speaker tapes. I won't say I wouldn't be clean without them, but I will say that the tapes and CDs I was given as a newcomer came through for me in some really dark moments."
By sharing diverse voices from every walk of life, these tapes remind us that no addict need ever die without knowing that recovery is possible. They’re used by many, across all stages of recovery - serving as a bridge across time and space to connect addicts in shared purpose and hope.
Our Legacy
Each recording is more than audio - it's a moment in time, a message of experience, strength, and hope. We curate these tapes with care, ensuring accessibility, clarity, and respect for the communities they represent.
We are humbled to be a part of this digital speaker tape collection and proud that our work continues to serve those who need it. Whether you’re a newcomer or an old-timer, we hope the recordings we’ve captured offer comfort, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose.
